ACOTA licence terms of use
Version 1.0 · 29/10/2026 Draft pending legal review. Decide the [TO DECIDE] points and review the [REVIEW] ones before the first sale.
This is an English translation provided for information. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
Owner of the program: Ángel Coronil García, trading as Solindac – Soluciones Industriales (“Solindac”). Tax ID (NIF): 15436176W. Calle Consolación 39, 11650 Villamartín (Cádiz), Spain. Contact: info@solindac.com · solindac.com
By installing, activating or using ACOTA you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use the program.
1. What ACOTA is
ACOTA is a program installed on the user’s computer that produces manufacturing drawings in SOLIDWORKS from the user’s own models. ACOTA is not sold: a licence to use it is granted. Solindac retains all intellectual and industrial property rights in the program, its documentation and its updates.
2. Types of licence
2.1. Trial. One free 14-day trial per computer, with no obligation to buy, with every feature.
2.2. Without a valid licence. Once the trial has ended, ACOTA does not produce drawings until a licence is activated. Projects and the fits table are kept. Drawings obtained during the trial may not be used for commercial purposes beyond the evaluation itself. [TO DECIDE] whether commercial use of trial drawings is allowed
2.3. Annual licence. Entitles you to use ACOTA for 12 months from purchase on the number of computers purchased (one licence = one computer, unless a bundle is bought). It includes the updates released during that period and email support.
2.4. Renewal. The licence does not renew itself and is not charged automatically. ACOTA and the licence portal send a reminder before expiry; if it is not renewed, ACOTA stops producing drawings. Drawings already produced remain the user’s.
3. Computers and transfers
The licence is activated on a specific computer, identified by a technical fingerprint calculated from its hardware and system. You can deactivate it on one computer and activate it on another (for example, when you change PC) up to three times a year from ACOTA or from the licence portal. For more transfers, write to info@solindac.com.
ACOTA periodically checks the licence with the Solindac server when a connection is available, and keeps working offline for a reasonable grace period.
4. Price and payment
Prices published on solindac.com exclude VAT. Card payments are processed by Stripe; Solindac neither receives nor stores card details. A licence can also be purchased by bank transfer against invoice.
Discounts and special prices apply to the period stated in the offer; unless agreed in writing, renewal is invoiced at list price.
Refunds. If you buy as a business or professional, as this is digital content supplied immediately and preceded by a free trial, there is no legal right of withdrawal. If you buy as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw within 14 calendar days of purchase, unless you have downloaded or activated the licence with your express consent and in the knowledge that you thereby lose that right, which is what you are asked to confirm when buying. [REVIEW the consumer wording with the legal adviser] [TO DECIDE: whether to offer a voluntary refund, e.g. within 14 days of purchase if ACOTA does not work with your version of SOLIDWORKS and we cannot resolve it.]
5. Requirements and compatibility
ACOTA requires 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and a valid SOLIDWORKS licence owned by the user. The compatibility published on solindac.com lists the SOLIDWORKS versions tested. Solindac will make reasonable efforts to keep compatibility with new SOLIDWORKS versions, but cannot guarantee that third-party changes will not affect operation.
SOLIDWORKS is a registered trademark of Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation. Solindac is not affiliated with or sponsored by Dassault Systèmes.
6. Your data and your models
6.1. ACOTA works on your computer. Your models, drawings and projects are not sent to Solindac.
6.2. To manage the licence, ACOTA sends the Solindac server the licence key, the computer fingerprint, the computer name and the installed version; for the free trial, also the email address you provide. To notify you of new versions it reads a public file on solindac.com.
6.3. Cloud artificial intelligence (optional). If you set up an external AI provider with your own key, ACOTA sends it a geometric description of the part, with part numbers, descriptions and properties replaced by neutral identifiers when anonymisation is on. That communication is between you and your provider, under its terms. You can mark projects as confidential so that nothing is sent.
7. Permitted use and restrictions
You may use ACOTA to produce drawings for your own projects and for the projects you carry out for your clients. Each licence is for one seat: the computer on which it is activated, used by one person at a time.
You may not: copy or redistribute the program; decompile or modify it, except where expressly permitted by law; circumvent or tamper with the licence, the computer fingerprint or the usage limits; install it on a server or shared computer for use by several people or computers (network access, port forwarding, proxies, simultaneous remote desktop sessions or other means); rent it, sublicense it or offer it as a service to third parties without a written agreement with Solindac. Several seats require one licence for each.
8. Drawings produced and liability
8.1. The drawings are yours. ACOTA is an aid: the drawings it produces must be checked and approved by a technically competent person before being used for manufacturing, quoting or delivery to third parties. Responsibility for the final content of each drawing lies with whoever approves it.
8.2. ACOTA is provided as is. Solindac does not warrant that it is error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
8.3. Except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, Solindac is not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit, loss of data or manufacturing costs arising from the use of ACOTA or the drawings produced. Solindac’s total liability on any grounds is limited to the amount paid for the licence in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it. [REVIEW with the legal adviser]
8.4. Back up your models and drawings. ACOTA saves new drawings with a suffix so as not to overwrite existing ones, unless you tell it otherwise.
9. Suspension and termination
Solindac may deactivate a licence if these terms are breached (for example, use on more computers than purchased, tampering with the licence or non-payment), with prior notice by email where possible. When the licence ends, ACOTA stops producing drawings.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be published on solindac.com and will apply from the next renewal or installation. Changes do not reduce the rights of a licence already paid for during its current period.
11. Personal data protection

Purpose: managing the trial, sale, activation and renewal of licences, invoicing and support. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal (tax) obligations.

Rights: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@solindac.com. If you consider that they have not been respected, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute between professionals, the parties submit to the courts of Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz), unless a mandatory rule provides for another jurisdiction.
